The start of each year is always marked by the legislative session at the Colorado State Capitol

The folded card is 5"x7" and the inside of the holiday card has the greeting: Happy Holidays

Using a shallow depth of field I focused on the brick post and let the lines lead to the color in the background

Waves and the Beach Presentation:Matted The start of each yearThe use of a dock helps provides different perspectives when photographing waves along the beach. When I was in a small village in the Faroe Islands I was able to take advantage of this dock or pier. Being elevated over the water let me photograph down, but also close to the water itself. The longer shutter speed caught some motion, but not too much so there are still the sharp edges of the water being seen in the image.
